Mothers Day!

We celebrated Mothers Day by going to lunch with my mother to Ali Baba for some really good Mediterranean. After that we came home and the kids took a nap while Kevin went to pick up his mom so she could visit for a while. We planted a tree in the yard, did a little gardening and that was about it. Just a simple day. We took the above pic of me and the kids right before they took a nap. I actually like it and the kids are both smiling! a Mothers Day miracle!!!! This one will definitely be going in the digital picture frame that Kevin got me today. Hope all my wonderful mommy friends had just as good a day!

Easter!

The kids woke up to find that the Easter Bunny had brought them a basket full of surprises as well as a note telling them to check the front porch for another surprise! They went to the door where they found that EB had left them some baby chicks!

Sabrina proclaimed that the "chicks are very cute! I love them!" Aidan just stared and kept pointing and saying "baby chicken!"

After that excitement, we got dressed to have dinner with the family. We were supposed to go to Granmas house (my mom) but it rained a lot the night before and since granma lives on a dirt road we thought it best to meet up instead at the Wilson house. There we took some pics of the kids in there Easter finery. Getting 5 kids to all look at the camera at once and stay still is no small task, but still we managed a few good shots. The one below is one of the best, Sabrina and Aidan with their cousins Abby, Evaline and Jack Wilson.

After this pic the kids all changed into playclothes and we ate and hunted eggs. Very simple Easter with the family!
